Where exactly is my speed sensor?

i dont even know where to start and find this sensor? any help>?

I was lookin for that one...did you want the speedo sensor or the abs sensor?

I showed the abs one, jeff showed the speedo one.

That would be the speedo sensor, the one that jeff pointed out. It could also be a problem in the instrument cluster. I would check the connection that jeff pointed out and look for corrosion/loose connection. If it looks good, i'm not sure how you can tell if the problem is the sensor or the cluster.

You'll need to verify the type of speedometer drive on your truck. It could be the conventional cable, or electrical sensor. '92 seems to be a sorta crossover year. Crawling underneath and observing, is probably the best bet here.

Jason is right about difficultly in isolating problems with the electrical sensor type speedometer. Trial and Error gets $pendy with non-refundable electrical items.

Do you already have the tach-cluster upgrade? If not, maybe it's a good time to swap, and see if the new speedo works? If not, it must be the sensor, hey?

...and, don't you really mean I4, instead of v4?
