Wheel Upgrade for 2wd 88 Pickup
At present my truck has 14" wheels, they work well enough but I'm kinda low to the ground. I plan to use this truck as both as daily driver and for various farm-related tasks and as such I am looking to get a small increase in overall ground-clearance to keep the bottom of my truck from eating the various culverts and shallow rocks scattered around my farm (not planning on climbing rocks but a few do stick up in the fields). I was originally content with keeping the 14s on but I'm just not high enough off the ground with them to prevent damage. I think this means means not doing a suspension lift since I don't want to bash the rear diff against these things either, but putting larger wheels on. I need to be about 4-6" higher off the ground and was wondering if I could get some advice and what would be best for my needs as well as what to do since I haven't the first clue as to what to do with the rear diff gearing when it comes to changing wheel sizes so my dash gives me proper readings.
