16 inch wheels

I need some help guys. I bought a 2002 4runner 4wd and it has 15 wheels. I would like to upgrade to 16 inch. Do I have to change out the brake calibers to 13 inch along with larger pads.

It probably would have been a better idea to search for this in the archives or at least make a new thread. Even so...

What do you mean by "upgrade your wheel to 16 inch"? If you jsut mean rims, then take off the old ones and put on the new ones. If you mean the 16" wheel package, then I believe you'd need the calibers/rotors from the 16" package and possibly the ABS computer (do we have seperate ABS computers?) for the 16" package.

ohh i beeg to differ

I love the 16x8 LC wheels!!!

LOL..either way, you dont HAVE to upgrade the brakes, but i would better to.

Hell, if you do that, mind as well go with the Tundra brake setup.

Search for the tundra brake setup and you'll understand.

P.S. welcome to YT

I don't know if the other posts answered your question but you can upgrade to 16" wheels w/ no problems. You don't need to change a thing.
