whats up guys? n00b here..

how are all of you doing? Well I just bought my 3rd vehicle after someone basically t-boned my 99 teg. Well being 17 and have owned a 1993 SHO previously before my teg I though it was time to change things up a bit.

So I now own a 1990 4runner 4x4. But Most of my friends I hang with are car guys or mini truckers. Mostly being mini truckers that I hang with and I wanted a 2wd but I fell in love with the 4runner when I saw it and I love my dads 02 SR5 4x4 so I thought why not?

Well. I guess you may have figured by now I already want to lower it...

Moslty b/c I cant stay out of the mud and my parents dont wont me messing it up (which I dont blame them for) so I figure thats a good enough excuse for wanting low pro's on my 16" american racing wheels and to lower it. Would anyone be willing to help me out on trying to find out info on what all I would need to convert, if at all possible to reach this goal.

Out of the car shows and all the videos I hve and pics ive only seen 4 lowered/bagged 4 runners so I think it will be something unique.

Being a honda guy I dont have very much knowledge of toyotas but being a car guy im not TOTALLY oblivious. I have a friend with a highly modified supra who tries to talk some sense into me about how her car stock owns any car Honda will ever make in all categories, but thats besides the point

Here's a list of the owners of 1990 4Runners. PM them with questions.

if you can't stay outta the mud, why in the world would you wanna lower it, so that when you're in the mud you have no hope whatsoever of getting out?

don't lower it just for the motivation not to go in mud.

and welcome to the board, but just so you know, this is mainly an off road site that's got little to do w/street mods

p.s. don't ask these guys about independent rear suspension conversions, they'll tear ya a new one

welcome to the site bud! glad to see another new member.

But seriously....If you have a 4x4 why in the world would you want to lower it? I agree with Ertified4Runner dont do it just to stay out of the mud, and if you like lowering trucks you should have bought a 2x4. Not just because lowering a 4x4 is a pain in the a** but becuase any 4wheeler will tell you it is a disgrace

good luck with the truck though, I hope it works out for ya!

here we go again...just a warning, almost every I want to lower my truck thread has resulted in rescue, er, I mean theft, of the aforementioned soon to be lowered truck. Good luck man, but you might want to try customtacos.com or somewhere similar, since this is all about the total and oppisite direction you want to go with your truck...
