what is this thing for?
i took it off and the truck runs fine i just want to now what its and if it will make it run bad i the cold?




this is where it was before i removed it.

You just got rid of the Air pump or "smog pump." It won't affect performance it was strictly emissions related. You must have an older 22r

ya its a 22r from 1990 and i take the tube from the pipe under the intake and hook it to the air cleaner housing is that ok or should i just leave it unhook?

Well you can re route it or leave it. As long as you plug everything off it will be fine its really up to you.
