I got an '88 Pickup with the 22RE and a few performance mods. I have an Accel performane coil and NGK plugs and standard wires. Im wanting to buy a better set of wires, but Im stuck between Accel and NGK wires. Any opinions on what will work best with what I got?

When possible, I use all Toyota stuff. Some of the parts are still orginal after 20 plus years on these as you will find. Some parts are about the same price at Toyota. Find the part number and do a search on ebay for some other parts. They arent nearly as expensive as you may think with a little searching on ebay and other sites.

What they said. Toyota designed your truck to run best with those components.
Proper care and feeding of your truck and she will run a reallllly long time.

 

You can get Denso components at Advance. That is Toyota OEM. ND or NGK plugs, and Denso wires and your good to go. Also distributor cap and rotor, if applicable...

 

My 22REC engines run the best with Toyota wires !!

I tried all the major brands if I had issues back to Toyota cured the problem.
