I just got my hands on a 1991 toyota 4x4 with a 22re engine. it has a water leak between the intake and head. i noticed that none ofe the bolt holes in the top of the intake line up with any of the top bolt holes in the head.

WHATS UP WITH THAT?

 

Did the person you bought it from say what they were trying to accomplish? or that they put a new head on it?
It sounds like the head is from a pre-'85 22r...maybe a 20r...

 

Some of my holes don't line up either. Also, I have an intake leak too. I've taken it off numerous times and I'm sick of it. LOL
