Wanting Fiberglass parts

So I finally Found What Im looking for and am setting here with my credit card hanging out but the vendor wont do business?

Anyhow, I just want a fiberglass visor for my truck and My friend wants one too so I was planning to order two from the Vendor. I E-mailed them once, called them three times, talked to a guy who really talked up the product. Left a message on the answering machine once and yet, they still have not returned my calls or e-mail. Its the only vendor listed that covers my area. Im really confused!!! Do I need a secret password to get these guys's attention ?
I also want more of their products down the road but after dumping over $5K into my motor, Im in a spot where I can only purchase so much at the moment. Is there a Different company that sells quality fiberglass parts? Should I continue to struggle with this company and hope I get my parts in a timely manner?
Im reluctant to give the vendors name right now because Im new here and dont know if they are local vendors.

If you are talking about Toyota Fiberglass, just be patient. Corey makes really good products (I bought a bed from him), but his products are in very high demand being that he is pretty much the only manufacturer of Toyota fiberglass products. I placed a deposit on my bed back around October knowing that I wouldn't expect delivery until spring and ended up receiving it in early May. Last time I talked to him, he had about a 7-9 month wait list on new orders. Also, I know that he is wrapping up car show season so he could likely be away at a show with his Trekker and his son should be heading back off to college soon so he could be tied up spending time with him. He'll get back with you - I promise.

As far as visors go, I'm not 100% sure that he makes them for your 86 (I'm assuming that is what you are looking for) but I could be wrong. I have a package that I sent him a couple weeks ago that I need to check up on so I'll drop a line for you when I talk to him.

In that case, call Corey direct at (250) 493-9473 or email him at CJ@toyotafiberglass.com

I'm fairly certain that all fiberglass parts come directly from Corey's shop in B.C. Canada. Talk to him directly and he'll get you squared away.

That's what I did and I live all the way over on the East Coast. Good service after the sale too - he doesn't just leave you hanging after he cashes your check. Always answers my questions and offers his knowledge on things that aren't even related to his products.

Thats great!! I suppose thats the biggest reason I use LCE so much. Always there when I need them :-)
Thanks for the info, I'll go ahead and order my 5.29 gears and wait for them to get in touch with me. Sounds like I will have time to collect more cash before he's ready to take my money. LOL

Don't spend too much, you'll still need to place a deposit to get into the fiberglass production line up.

Ok so , 3D got a hold of me today after 8 days of repeated attempts. He asked me if anyone ever got back to me on the purchase I wanted to make. LOL
Anyhow I told him I decided to go strait to the source like you had mentioned and left it at that.
Now I received an E-mail from CJtoyotafiberglass saying he was sorry for my problem and that he would talk to them but that they were booked for over a year and couldnt handle my order right now. LOL
Hey, I can understand that, I work two jobs and know all about "busy" (the electrical field is crazy this time of year). Being licenced in two states means I am always being used and abused. My second job is with the Govt (disabled vet) as a boiler operator so, no fooling around there either.
So anyhow, that leaves me back at square one. I dont wish to do business with the distributor because Ive kinda seen some warning signals there, so that means I'll have to go back to where I was a couple weeks ago "build my own". Im sure it wont look near as good as the fiberglass unit but it will likely be less frustrating and quicker.

I told you he was a busy dude! I talked to him last night, but he said that he had already emailed you back. I don't think that I have ever seen a visor on a second gen pickup, but I don't really pay too much attention to them since I'm a first gen guy. In stead of building one from scratch, I think that I'd try to modify one that closely fits. The link that Robert M posted would probably be your best starting point. There can't be much difference between the roof like of a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen. Plus it only contacts the roof at 3 points so it wouldn't be too hard to adjust those points to fit your roof line. And $120 isn't a bad price to start with - you'd spend that much in materials alone if you tried to build one.

Yup, I think thats what ill try. I think the 89 is a couple inches wider but dont know what differences in the contour over the doors where they mount. We'll see though
