Thumbs up A very interesting delima......

Alright fellow yotatech members, I have a very interesting situation to tell you all about... Been on here lurking around for a little over a year... My first yota is my current daily driven 87 Xtra cab... A little back info on this truck: Bought her for 1800, wouldn't pass emissions here... Do a compression check, 45lbs accross the board! To make a long story short, I rebuilt her and also converted her to EFI! Fast forward to now: I recently found a 85 SR5 runner with no engine and needed some front end work, bought her and during the same month I came accross a 2002 Tacoma 3RZ... Unfortunately the 3RZ sat a little too long and needs to be rebuilt.. So that puts the project count to three (my 87, my 85. and my 3RZ)... SO HERE IS MY SOLUTION...

During the next couple weeks I will be sacraficing my 87 xtra cab to the yota gods in order to put my 85 on the trail! That way the only project I have is to put my 3RZ into my 85.. I need some comfort from you guys in justifying my decision!!!!

Good luck at the Auto Zone parts counter with that one! They get flustered with a simple '83 axle on a '87 4Runner. You're going to blow their mind!

LOL I had a fun time getting my gm alternator! I went through two or three alternators comparing the clocking positions! They were asking me why I need to see how they were bolted on and I told them it was for my toyota, should have seen there faces PRICELESS

"Uh, sir, that was not available on your model."..."Yeah, I know. That's why I fixed it."
Good luck! Sounds like a good build!
