22re motor has less than 5000 miles and has recently developed a high pitch squeel when above 3000 rpm. what is this? bearing somewhere? belt?
brakes sqeek with light preasure to brake pedal, but stop when moderate preasure is applied... do they need bled? or new brakes?
have plans on changing oil and everything tommorow and looking for squeel, along with a retourqe of everything.
should i bleed the brakes too?

Squeal could be due to a worn idler pulley bearing (power steering or A/C belts). You can usually remove the belt and spin the idler pulley and see what the bearing feels like. If it is loose or feels gritty while spinning, that may be the cause.

well i replaced all the bearings when i redid the engine. and cleaned/greased them after every mud hole. however coulda missed some water or sand. causing bearing damage. so just free spin all the bearings?

well i started tearing it apart today and figured out the problem. i think...
i began by testing all the bearings by hand and all seemed smooth.
so i started spraying white lithium grease on them one by one.
turns out the squeel is coming from the fan connection, i sprayed the fan shaft area and it stoped squealing for most of the day.
but noticed when i push the clutch in and let the idle fall the fan seems to take awhile to slow down
so what could be causing this?
