I'm thinkin more and more that it has to do with the clutch switch as it reminded me very much of when you forget to push the clutch and try to start it up. The thing thats weird is the truck has never done this before, furthermore when I start the truck it turns on as fast as I can turn the key, I've never had a car turn on as fast as this truck. Once it did turnover on the hill the engine cranked a few times then turned on. So I'm wondering if it is a combination of the clutch switch and being on a steep hill with the fuel running back to the tank, although I had a full tank of gas.

More ideas out there??

Thanks for the feedback guys.

fix'd.
Clutch start makes it so you don't have to push in the clutch. Although you CAN start it in gear, the truck will hop forward.

Its meant so in certain situations you can step on the gas and the brake at the same time..
It's more of a carbed thing i guess.

This has happened again. I'm thinking it has to do with the little white switch that the clutch hits when engaged, wouldn't the "Clutch start cancel" bypass this?? Confused?

that is the idea. the button is to help get you started when on a steep incline. Put in 1st gear low range, leave clutch engaged, press the button and crank the engine while giving gas. the starter will start the engine and get you moving so you dont smoke the clutch trying to switch from brake to gas on the hill. obviously its not for everyday use.

kkhrod: so you tried bypassing the clutch start swicth with the button and the same thing happened? maybe you starter solenoid is on its way out.
