Toyota flatbeds

This a new thread I figured should be here for all memebers, if not then please feel free to remove it if you like. Its my opinion that we needed a new thread about flatbeds in this section. I have been really interested in doing this myself and have found some good ideas and I hope you guys can and will post more up so we can have a broad choice to choose from and get better ideas. I will post some ideas I've found as soon as I figure out how to, lol.

Firstly, it's "TOYOTA". Second, there's an entire thread dedicated to this on Pirate4x4: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/toyot...ed-thread.html
also look at RCCrawler.com and other RC crawling forums, since there are a few Toyota RC bodies that get some sweet flatbeds - much easier to produce several variations on a 1/10 scale vs the full-size version.

The reason I posted this here was to save other, including noobs like me, from having to search end on end for what they was looking for and I thought it was a good idea also.

I don't have a problem with the thread I hope it takes off and grows. I don't like Pirate4x4 the website is slow and the people are not as friendly as they are here.

seemed like every other site had a flatbed thread so I am trying to get one started on Yotatech, so peeps who join here can just look here instead of going to other forums to check out the designs. Just makes sense to have one here, lol.

did you even try to search first? there are literally dozens of threads here on YT with flatbed theme.
just a few of them i found in seconds:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...-build-191787/
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...atbeds-243115/
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...t-beds-286365/
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...atbeds-144762/

i merely suggested the Pirate flatbed thread because it seems to be the best compilation of toyota flatbeds on the internet, outside of perhaps an image search or pinterest, etc. just because it's on that particular site doesn't mean you have to participate in the conversations, i just use it for educational purposes mainly. was giving my wife crap for using pinterest, then i realized it's a stupid simple way to start archiving all the pics of stuff i'm interested in and keeps out all the uninteresting junk you get in searches.

Sorry if I overlooked some but I have read about 2 or 3 so far, I've been a member here for about 2 weeks tbh so I'm still learning about how to use this site.

I really like that setup Jason except I would do something else with that tire in the bed, the way it stands it'll cause more harm than good when merging into traffic in the highway possibly. Thats my opinion tho.

My tire sits the other way on the right side of the cab.

Just what do you mean by causing more harm when Merging ??

what I mean is that when you merge from the fast lane to the cruising lane, you have to look before you merge or your liable to hit someone and with that tire in the way it makes it even harder to see if the lane is clear enough for you to get into it, makes more of a blind spot IMHO.

How does it do this ??

How does what is in your bed effect how you use your mirrors?? Unless it is over dimensional like 10 ' plus wide ??

Most days I can`t see out the rear window in any case or the vehicle in question has no rear window .

Just curious why you feel this way ??

Perhaps you don`t have Mirrors ??

I have a 31/10.5/15 tire, WILL HAVE, the way the tire fits it looks like it would block the view out the back window when looking to merge is why I say that, I think there is a mirror on the passenger side of my truck but not 100%. I have the worst memory cause by a Traumtic brain injury about 22 years ago.
