Torsion bar bolt sizes

I am looking to find out what size the bolts are for mounting the torsion bars. Both the adjusting bolt and the 2 mounting bolts at the control arm. I did try a search and came up empty. Toyota wants 35 for the rear adjusting bolt and 15 for the nut. I am sure I can get a grade 8 bolt from my supplier cheaper, but I do not know the size. I appreciate any help.

I take any and all savings donations in the form of a money order.

the adjuster ones should be 48173A BOLT, HEXAGON(FOR ANCHOR ARM ADJUSTING) 48101-12159 1992.02-1995.01 RN101, 110, VZN100, 110 qty 2 $5.03

the adjust bolt nuts should be NUT, HEXAGON 80179-12074 $2.09
by the looks of the diagram you will need 2.

the bolts for the bracket should be BOLT, W/WASHER 90119-08671 $0.94

the bracket bolt says 1 so I don't know if they are different from pass to driver side. Same with the nut for the adjuster only says 1 but the bolt says 2.

Thanks. I should have added that the truck is 93 4x4 ext cab with 3.0. I wonder if they ship to Canada? I did find the right diagram and part numbers needed. I really do appreciate the help. I got the truck in a total stripped down state and have no idea on some of the bolts. If I had been the one to actually strip it down, I might have figured it out.

no problem glad to help ya save some coin and possibly your rig lol. Besides I just learned something new in that the torsion setup on the 92-95 is different from the 86-88 and 89-92.

hey There, I got an 88 pick up 3vze and I need to replace the torsion bar bolt on the pilot side. I am looking at the diagram available at toyotapartszone.com but I cant find that they sell all the parts I need, in specific its just some nuts and washers as for what I can see in the Diagram. Any recommendations in getting all the parts I need? Or should I just get what they sell there and custom job it?

88 is different. They still sell all the parts for it though. http://www.toyotapartszone.com/Page_...onentsIndex=54

Hint: 48173 is now also 48169. PNC 48173 is now both parts sold as part numbers, 48173/48169-35010 for the lower, 48173-35020/35030 for the upper .

Sweet! so then I guess to install the torsion bar hexagon bolt (Whole suspension is complete except that bolt) Parts I need will be 48173 and 48173A and I should be covered. I live in Mexico so I just double check on my parts because I cant get them that easily, Yotatech rocks!!!

Do you already have the bolts out? if not, I would grab the Nut and Locknut as well. I reused my seats from the old set. I had to break 1 of the bolts to get it off the truck.

Yeah those are the exact ones I cant find a specific part number to buy on the webpage. I dont have the complete assembly So I need all the torsion bar bolt adjuster assembly. I am thinking I should Change both while I am it. The toyotapartszone webpage has got a lot of nuts and washer and the end of the list http://www.toyotapartszone.com/Page_...onentsIndex=54

So right now for sure I need 48173, 48173A. Do you happen to know the numbers on the nut and locknut? Thanks

Either in my build thread, or I had started a separate thread for it, not gonna look as I know I have posted those numbers. I believe it was a thread in which I was asking how many per bag these things came in. All of those part numbers were on toyotapartszone though. I know that for a fact.

It should be a total of 5 part numbers you will need.
