1989 toyota pick up, extended cab, long box, 4x4 with a 22re


Hey guys, first time poster but a pretty regular reader.

First off, i'm not a mechanic, and I really don't know that much. So here we go...


When I press on the brake pedal my truck almost dies.

It doesn't happen all the time but when the truck warms up all i need to do is make the tail lights come and my truck will rev down. I have no tach so i can't tell you how much it bogs but it goes about every 2-3 seconds and bogs for just a second before going back to normal. I haven't had any trouble braking but the engine reving is driving me crazy (plus makes my truck look like a POS). The mechanics at work said it was my brake booster but they weren't %100 sure.


Second question, if the brake booster is the problem...

I was trying to order a used one off ebay but the booster had a white 68 on the top of it where my booster has a white 32 on it
