Topper/Cap/Camper shell 93 Ex-Cab

hello everyone I've searched the boards for at least 3hrs trying to find any information I can, but cant seem to find it. I'm looking to buy a used topper and am having a hard time....I want it to fit the truck and look good so i'm trying to find one specifically made for my truck. I have a '93 Ext. Cab. Can anyone tell me what years I can look for?88-94 obviously but does anyone know if 95.5-2004 tacoma topper will fit? ... I know the truck has to be ext. cab or else the alignment from topper to cab is off. Also can anyone for sure confirm my measurment of the bed being 76x60? Also if anyone has one for sale, i'm in Florida. Thanks

yes a tacoma cap will fit. best bet is to do a trial fit when you find one you like...

hmm...i'm kind of a perfectionist, but it depends on how "not perfect" it looks. whats the deal with it? is it like the single cab to ext cab issue where the topper to the cab has gaps due to the slant of the ext cab? Do you or anyone know the bed measurments of the 95-04 ext. cab?

The later model pickups have a different slant on the cab, whereas the older cabs have a more vertical degree to them.

are you talking ext. cab to ext. cab? cause I know for a fact that the slant in single cab vs the extended cab in 89-94 are different. Single cab being about 90 degrees straight up and down ( | ), and the extended cab slanting into the cab ( / ) But is the slant from 89-94 ext. cab the same or different from 95-04 ext. cab?

why not measure your bed, then when you are looking at a topper measure it and you'll have a good
idea of how well it will fit.

measurements aren't always going to determine the fitment... thats why i'm asking about the slant of the cab.....like I said in my 1st post I know my bed is 76"x60"... what I don't know is the size of 95-04 tacoma ext. cab beds, and the slant of the cab...long story short I'm looking to get a used topper and would like to know how well 95-04 tacoma toppers will fit...and since someone already said it won't be "perfect" i'm just wondering why not...is it bed length or cab slant?

i did some research for myself and found out:
-taco, pickup, ranger, and s10 beds all measure the same size (or pretty darn close)
-taco ext cabs are more rounded than a pickup's
-early ranger ext cabs are about the same slope of a pickup's

this is a thread i started. it has some pics for comparison to a taco
