Tire Questions?

I have searched and searched and I still can;t make up my mind.

I have a stock 97' Runner with the P265/70R-16 tire size.

What should I get?
Brand
Type
Size

What will fit without a lift?

I mainly due on road driving of course (who dosen't) but When I hit the dirt i want something agressive.

Some of the BFGoodrich that I have seen like the All-Terrain T/A KO's look cool and really grab my attention, but so do the Goodyear Slient Aromor my stepdad is Running on his 02' 4Runner.

I just want peoples opinion, I have till the end of the month to make a decision (current tires wont make it past that, and that is when pay day hits :-).....)

Also I need an alighnment badly, if the place I go to dosen't do Alighmnet (such as costco or such) should I get teh alignment first then the tires or should I do it the other way around.

I just want a tire, if it looks and acts aggressive and fits.

Those are very nice, by any chance have you ever run them yourself on yours?

nope.. sorry ... i did a lot of research on the A/T's and A/T+'s, but then opted for the H/T's (all street tread) due to a really really good deal... but, i wish i had gotten the A/T's just for the look, and for the still great ratings for on road performance, and for the occasional actual use

for the types of 'offroading' i end up doing, sand and back trails (leafy, but usually not too wet) road treads dont dig holes in the sand too much, and dont tear up the backwoods either

i would just go with the bfg all terrain. those things will last forever, and still look somewhat agressive

I have the nitto terragrapplers and they were pretty cheap. www.discounttiredirect.com

Get tires, then an alignment. Try to go to firestone and get your alignment, they offer life time alignments for 140.

P.S. Ill try to get you taht tracking number by tommorow, its in my car.LOL

Most poplular AT tires:

BFG AT
Dueller AT Revos
Nitto Terragrapplers
Geolander AT IIs

Most Popular MT:
BFG MT
Goodyear MT/R
Firestone destination MT

You can fit 265/75/16s on there with little/no trouble. I did when I was stock.

BFG AT = $160 for stock size
Nitto= 120

Cosumer Reports (yeah I know.....) rated them top on there list.
I love the look too.
I think I can actually have my mom convinced to get them...
So yeah.
And for that price and free shpping and handling it's perfrect.

Now just want to double check 265/75R-16 will fit stock?

Well,
After some extensive reasearch.
And gathered opinions from others.
And with avalibility of off-road tires being limited in my area.
And places charging and arm and a leg, maybe even frist born, to get tire self-ordered put on.
I have decided to go with the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/As.
Plus with the deal I am getting, it works out.

Thank you all for your input!!
If I win the lotto I will def be changing them again!!!

Thanks again.

Mind you thse pics are just o show the new tires....

I wasn't really trying to get dirty cause of my rear axel issue....

But I had to get somewhat dirty...
To pull my friends POS Chevy Blazer...
He got stuck in a mud pit.....
But a dinky one at that....
I went throguh it and it was like a walk in the park.....

I am waiting on my friend to get the vid of it posted up so I can share how 4 wheel drive works to a chevy person.....
