I've been distracted over the past few weeks but am on the ball again. Main question now is on the install ... can I do it myself? I'm handy but have never worked on suspension before. Do I need special tools? I've heard yotas are hard to work with when it comes to suspension.

Its not too bad, about 6 hours with a buddy.
you'll need a floor jack, jack stands, socket and wrench set, and maybe a hacksaw or something. (The rear shocks are notorious for getting seized)

which package did you choose?

But I did just remember, you will also need a heavy duty spring compressor and a torque wrench. Autozone rents those.
