hmmmm, interesting...not sure what year/type of truck you have, would help to know.

All the trucks/cars I have had with a temp/computer etc had a button that would toggle between *F and *C...

would you pay for a manual that may not even have that info in it? i have the fsm and see no need for the users manual as i know how to drive a 4x4 and lock and unlock the bloody windows, this is the only thing i will ever need from the owners manuals thanks to the fancy stickers toyota has put on every door and visor in the car.

thanks for the help though man, just wish you had a '99 so i could beg you to check your for me real quickly lol! thanks anyways!

yeah man! i bought two for my legacy but i'm the type of person that "needs" to have the proper literature. your logic is false tho because not having the manual, you have no idea what is in it or what is not in it....besides how will u know when to put her in four wheel when it starts snowing and the temp is hovering around 31-32 degrees farenhiet and your gauge says some celcius gibberish

first day i got my runner went to the stealership and got a build sheet, i know everything little thing that's inside of my yota! lol,

and you right on that last one buddy! without the proper manual i'll never know if it's raining or snowing outside... and we all know that if it's snowing and your doing 70 on the freeway it's a good time to lock the rear end and drop it into 4-lo...in that order....

lol....

The toggle you're looking for is either a small button you'd press with a pen tip or else you just hold down one of the buttons on the unit to access a set up feature and change the settings that way. FWIW though I don't have any trouble with *C

Might as well learn the logical system that the rest of the world uses, including your military and science/engineering community. But, I guess that I should

ha! i knew it was a matter of time till i drew in a canuck or two! lol , so i stopped by the dealership on the way home and asked the service department what the deal was and they said as far as they knew there was no way of changing it short of swapping some parts, they couldn;t really tell me which, i suggested ecu at first and they told me to go to the junkyard and ask them..which is weird, because after thinking about it more would teh ecu even hold that information? and why would the nix99 junkyard know? well either way i guess i'll just have to live with the Celsius ,

just to be clear i prefer metric for all other measurements but weather, it's going to be a pain in the butt to get a good reading on the outside temp, it'll either be 82.4 or 84.2 outside, what happens if i want to know if it's 83 outside? lol

ha! haven't heard that one before lol!

am i the only that get's excited when you see the temps climb from 78 to 79 then to 80 then to 81? maybe it's just becuase i'm from seattle and we always fight for that 1-2 degrees warmer! lol

i really don't see why they would have not included a toggle switch for this unit. why have a completely different program? is it really cheaper to install metric on some rigs and standard on others than it was to just have both and a toggle?

Well the simple fact is that metric is used everywhere except the US of A and maybe the UK so it is a simple matter of majority rule. I'm sure there must be a way to change the scale though...
