stumbles and surges at accelloration

stumbles and surges at accelloration
81 pickup 22r weber carb
when i give it fuel my engine stumbles and surges, losing all power and takes a second to smooth out. it idles great. my first thought was fuel system. i checked all the lines, got new filters, cleaned my carb thoroughly, even tried a new fuel pump. same story. so elliminating fuelk system i turned to air. i've had a weber carb for over a year with no trouble, but figure some of the vacuum lines i had plugged might be the issue. so i totally de smogged! removing EGR, Reed valve, and air injection to exahust. looks better, same problem. so i think it has to be spark? im stumped and without 4 wheel drive. any advise or ideas would be greatly appriciated.

Im pretty sure it was a loose ignition switch ground wire. Before I found it, I replaced my distributor and the problem changed. It would surge while idling and run smooth when given fuel. weird
