Stock tire size on a 91 4runner

Does anyone know what the stock tire size was on a 91 4runner? Or where it can be found?

CHeck Your Door Tag on the drivers side, it should tell tell you
235/75/15 <<I Think, not 100% sure, (gotta check my door tag)
there also was a 31" tire option (31x10.50x15)

stock tire was a 225. 31" was an option but the door tag will still say 225. You need to look at the gear ratio to determin if it was set up for the 225 or the 31". Or call you r local dealer. There is a good atricle here on the tires & rims & gear rations. Do a search

gear ratio will be easy to tell... do you have a factory swing type spare tire holder if you do i think think the gear ratio is 4:56s for the 5 speed or 4:88s for the auto if you dont have the swing type then you have 4:10s

4.88 weren't available until 1992. i have a 90 4runner auto that came stock with 31's and has 4.56. i believe 90-91 with 31" tires had 4.56. yours is either 4.10 or 4.56. if you don't have the door tag, spin a rear tire and count how many times your drive shaft turns to get your ratio. i've heard some door tags may be wrong anyway..

You can also judge by the spare tire. If your rod goes in staight, then you had 225's. If it needs to go in at an angle then you have 31's.

I found the door jam sticker and it said 225's. the code according to the search I did says I have the 4:56 gears I forgot to check the spare tire. I have 32 x 10.5 on it and at 60 mile and hour it is rapping 2600 which does not seem to be to bad. How much taller are 31 then 225's?

Roughly 3.5". I have 225s on my '94 truck, and I have a 31" tire in the garage. The 31" is about bald, but it's still about 2.5" taller than my 225s.
