should 3.0 have this little power

my 89 pickup 3.0 runs good but driving on the highway it has no power AT ALL to pick up to 60 mph is a job and to hold it even down shifting on hills didn't help. I did plugs wires and intake. I have 31 by 10.5 any ideas?

if its an auto... that sounds about right... manual... should have maybe a little more then that... I've had mine up to 140km/h (I know.. I shouldn't have) but I think that was on a smaller tire.

it's a manual. I'm thinking about changing the fuel filter and unhooking the cat

The 3.0 is not that powerfull. 150hp at the crank from the factory. Probibly close to around 120 at the wheels...

Make sure you're running 4.56 gears (4.88's would be nice for more pep). Do all your engine matenince, upgrade the exhaust...

Yes.

j/k - a couple hundred RPM makes a HUGE difference on these motors, so I x2 gears.

When you did the plugs, did you also replace the wires, cap and rotor? Check the timing? Factory is 10* BTDC, you can advance it further and it will help.
