Screeching sound from intake on 22R

I believe it's the vacuum lines on the Carb that are doing it. A friend of mine has a toyota he's fixing up, he went by the guide on where to plug the lines in and triple checked, but even with two separate carbs, there's this horrid screeching noise, high idle, and the engine violently shaking to a halt when it's stopped.

If so, are there clearer guides on what goes where?

This is an '87 Toyota P/U with a 22R engine.

It ran fine before he replaced the manifold and had to redo the vacuum lines.

Try Checking The Carb Gasket. Try Spraying Ether Around The Bottom Of Carb Trying Not To Get The Spray In The Carb.
