The 80 axle has no gusset for the long side and beleive they came 4:11 instead of 4:10. Not a big deal as you'll be regearing for 37's. You will want to invest in a set of longfields, the standard is the 30 spline. My buddy ran 27 old style longs on 37's with out issue, but he didn't wheel by throttle.

As for the Trailgear, some love them some hate them. Some have no problems some have lots of problems. My buddy complained that he felt the steal was softer than the allpro hanger he previuosly used. I've used several of their parts before and their customer service is really good.

Good luck.

yes you can add more guessets to the older alxes to make them just as strong.. 5.29s are GREAT gears for anything larger than 33s..

No problem, I did the same research before my SAS. I found pro's and con's to all the available kits.

Tofer will work a deal with you for TG.

Hey Chris how's life?

Yea i know thats why i turn to the expert opinions of everyone on here.... but hey we all got to start somewhere and learn from there...what size kit did you put on the fourrunner and what size tires is it running....im worried that since my truck is already lifted that when i do a sas kit it wont sit level....it clears the 37. 1450 pretty good with no rubbing???

Well im getting both axle out of a 82 that are rebuilt with 5.29 and lockrite in both.
But the guy informed me that the front hub where missing so im trying to see if mine would work or about how much the would cost so i could knock down the price to get some to replace them??

If anyone has anything else feel free....Thanks
