sas question

first off, what does sas mean??? ha ha jk... but seriously... ok, now for the real question, do all sas kits move the axle forward? i no on the v6's you're supposed to move them forward 3/4" i believe, but what about 4cyl? is that standard for more clearance when the tires go in the fenderwells? i'm just wondering ha ha so thanks for the input
