sas conversion questions

sas conversion questions

hey eveyone i am wanting to do a sas conversion on my 1998 2wd 4runner i know the only difference in my 4runner and a 4wd one as far as doing a sas is the transmission and transfer case but i am going to put a dog leg in i was wounder what else i needed i mean i know the stuff but i dont know what to use to make it work good and look right.

Looks to me you have alot of research and homework to do...

Take your time and read some builds. Really a vauge question as you need an entire new tranny with tc and your gonna have to cut some holes for shifters. Lots of cutting grinding and welding required for the entire project.

Considering you have a 3rd gen and all the electronics involved, unless the rig is HEAVILY modified already, you're better off buying a 4WD and starting from there.
