Rough idle

so I blew up my engine beyond repair so I bought a new one and rebuilt it. My truck is a 1995 3vze V6 4runner. The engine I got is a pre 91 3vze block. I got the new engine In and hooked everything up and set the ignition timing. It’s runbing really tough tho. On a cold start it runs and sounds fine, but as soon as it idles normally it runs really rough. I think it’s running rich because I can smell gas coming out the exhaust. It’s not a spark plug related anything because it’s all Been replaced(plugs, wires, cap, rotor). Any ideas? This engine got new injectors new and a new fuel pump. I also know the cams are in time and it’s not an issue like that.

Have you put a timing light on it? Verified that all wires are in the correct firing sequence? Checked for vacuum leaks with a can of carb cleaner or starting fluid? What codes is it throwing? If its running that bad it will probably trip a code if left to run long enough. 3.0 are not my wheelhouse by any means. Just some basic trouble shooting for the symptoms you described.
