The longbed/single cab and xtracab/short bed are the same length wheelbase.
The shortbed/single cab has a shorter wheelbase, so you might want to measure

Pretty sure the extended cab wheelbase is longer though.

I could be wrong though?

Doing this swap right now, 84 single/short to 93 ext cab. The single cab frame has a "step-up" behind the cab that will end up under the new ext cab. Also, fuel tank has a corresponding step up that follows the frame rail on the right. If you look at the back of either cab, you will see a cut out that goes over the tank. By moving the rear wall of the cab back, you will be placing it on the high part of the frame. Without channelling the body to drop over the frame rail, the only way to mount the new body will be to install a 3" body lift. Even then, you will need to trim the crimp weld right over the frame rail. You will also need to relocate or replace the fuel tank, as the body notch will no longer clear the tank. You could lower it a few inches, but you may be puting it in harms way. I am only using the original 4 cab mount holes for now, they line right up, but later I'll add another set of mounts for the rear cab bolts. Also, if the original is a single/short, and depending on how hard you wheel, you may want to move the rear axle back a few inches with all that entails. Larger tires will contact the rear corner under moderate compression.

Big can o' worms, but doable. I'll try to post some pics later in the week.

once again you can do anything u want but, stuff like this is never bolt together. your going to have to fab mounts for the rear of the cab and or possibly move mounts.

I just bought my first Toyota a few days ago and it's a single cab long bed 4wd with a 3.4 swap it. I would have to measure but the title says LWD whatever that means. I was wanting to get rid of the single long and do extended short. Also to get rid of the crappy rhino lining they did
