rear window problem (not the wiper or lock button)
1992 4runner 3.0 auto
Rear window starts to go down then stops. I took the back panel off and the gear starts to move but then stops. I sprayed some penetrating oil along rails and no help. Is the window off track? Please help, i dont want to have to pay someone if its an easy fix. Thanks

Really hard to tell .
Something could have come apart blocking things.
Might just be a poor connection or worn motor
You should also lube the window regulator as well.
Get a helper get some voltage readings at the motor while it is trying to move.

I was going to suggest a rusted track. What I do on mine to help stop and prevent more rusting is to coat the track with wheel bearing grease. Sometimes they rot out so bad you have to replace the track and or the wheel that rides in it.
