rear gearing suggestions

rear gearing suggestions

so i have an '85 toyota pickup with a 3" lift and 33" tires. what should i do to the gearing to get the engine to turn the tires better? and where can i fet this from?

search buddy..you'll want either 4.88's or 5.29's

the latter if you plan on going to bigger tires

search for differential gears and you'll find lots of sellers

You need some 4.88 gears, you can get them from marlin crawler, trail gear, or many other places. Start searching and you will find all the information you need.

and next thing, could i just buy a ring and pinion or the whole kit?

you can buy a ring and pinion..but you need a master install kit too..lol

one master install it per differential (that's 2 kits per vehicle..LOL)

Go for 5.29s. I run them with 33s and really like it. Although I plan on going to 35s in the future

is the master install kit all the shims and spacers and all that crap?
im still tryin to figure the gearing stuff out so i need as much help as i can get

yes it is. honestly if you search for gears, gearing, differentials, anything like that you will find alot of info!
