question on steering
#2
Have you checked for any play in the steering components? Have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth while you inspect all the tie rod ends, relay rod, steering box, everthing. There should be no play anywhere. If there is that part needs to be replaced.
The tires could be contributing to it but I would go through all of your steering first.

You might want to clarify what you mean by "unresponsive". Could mean steering wheel is turned and the tires do not turn, or they lag behind the steering wheel input or that steering effort is too high, etc.
What width 33" tires do you run and what width and backspacing on the wheels?
And when checking for play, as described in the earlier post, you want to start at the steering shaft where it comes through the firewall and work your way down the mechanism looking at each joint or transition point for motion on the upstream part and no motion on the downstream part. Easiest way to check is to turn the steering wheel back and forth just to the point the wheels start to move. So in that case, you should have motion at the steering wheel and essentially no motion at the steering knuckle, so some place between the two points all that steering wheel motion is being absorbed in the form of play. With no play in the system, all parts should move simultaneously.
