Question about running odd tires

Does anybody know of any downsides of running a pair of tires in the front and a different pair in the back of my 4runner, assuming they are the same size and are all A/T tires? Would gas mileage suffer? Is it bad for the 4wd? Thank you!

It will make Satan appear and make you listen to the band Despised Icon until it kills you. No it will be fine as long as they are the same size.

it would be fine. question to others though, wouldn't also be fine if the to in the front were a different size than the 2 in the back and he just didn't use 4wd?

You'll be fine. I've done that before as many others have I'm sure. Gas mileage should not be affected and it won't be bad for the 4WD system.

All in all, not a good idea. You could get by with it if you weren't going to use 4WD. Don't forget about carrying two different sized spares too!

Paying $700 is wrong with getting a set of 4 when I have 2 perfectly good pairs. Thanks everyone
