Question about rear leafs

I am wondering when installing the rear leafs if the cone shaped bumper assembly is the only part that goes on top of the leaf spring. The FSM shows a pad and a retainer for regular cab, then the bumper assembly. Mine is an xtra cab, and it doesn't say anything about that body. Partszone also shows them in the pic, but does not list the parts in the parts list. only the bumper. I have no parts to go by as the truck was stripped when I got it so any help with this would be great. I would rather be informed when calling the dealer for these parts. Also, the truck came with a set of superlift leaf springs. the bottom leaf is not centered and of course they turn. So one had it facing one way and the other the opposite. I realize that this is probably a stupid question, but which way do they go? I dont want to install, then realize they are backwards.
Again, most likely stupid questions, but I am learning as I go and the truck was delivered to me in pieces. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Truck is a 1993 extra cab 4x4. was a 3.0.

ok so I was able to find out the direction of the bottom leaf on the springs. I am still unsure about the pad and retainer though. It goes between the leaf spring and the bump stop. Would anybody be able to just have a quick look under the truck and see? Truck is a 93 extra cab 4x4. Here is a link to the page that has the parts list and link to the diagram, but the parts list doesn't match the diagram. Any help would be so appreciated.

Might post up a picture of what you are referring to. Should also be shown in one of the on-line Factory Service Manuals (FSM).

If your truck has the wider spring perch, then there is a sort of rubber lined clamp/clam shell that holds the spring inside. Half of that goes under the spring, half above, then the bump stop on top held down by the u-bolts. Or you can get rid of the clam shell thing, a buddy did this on his '93 pickup after installing a set of add-a-leaf springs.

These are the clam shell things on some of the later model rear springs:
