puting carb on 22re

i have a 88 2wd toyota p/u with 22r carb in it, i have a 22re .50 over cam crank head decked port polish blah blah blah. i wanna put a carb on the 22re and sink it in the 2wd, do they make a kit for this? will the efi cam still work? would i be best off puting a built 22r head on it? i know efi is better but i figured its easyer to put on a carb then to swap the whole truck to efi have to harrnes swap and every thing. any advise would be cool thanks

uhm..you would be MUCH happier just doing the EFI conversion to your '88...

BUT, you can just bolt up your carb. intake manifold to the 22RE head and hook everything up, like fuel lines, vacuum lines, choke, throttle linkage and all that jazz...i suppose the 22RE cam should work?? i don't think there is any difference between the 22R cam and the 22RE cam, and if there is it's minor and shouldn't affect anything

to do the efi conversion i have to do a full harness swap put in a efi gas tank fuel pump ecu, or just splice the front part of the efi harrnes into the 22r harrnes right?

Is it possible to have a carb 22RE? Bought pickup off a guy that claimed it was rebuilt and had to replace front main seal and pulled the threads out of timing cover when I was bolting the water pump back on, bought new head for 87 22RE and it was too short...any ideas?

I'm running a weber on my 22re. I got rid all the electronics besides the ignition and essentials(headlights etc..) but the whole computer and everything got taken out. It runs great no problems at all
