I just bought a 1985 pickup that is bone stock with zero rust. I want to know how I can prevent the bed from rusting. Mine has no rust now, but some of the ones I looked at prior to buying this one where full of holes in the fender areas.

My plan is to pressure wash the inside of the fenders, slather on POR-15, and spray a nice undercoat. I'm also planning to ditch the junk plastic bedliner and get the bed Line X'ed. Under the bedliner is rust free.

I also plan to remove the front fender liners and pressure wash POR-15 and undercoat. And do the same to the cab underside.

Any other ideas?
