Power Steering Pump Pulley

I have a chronic problem with my power steering pump pulley. It keeps coming loose and making a terrible racket. I torque it to the FSM spec but it continues to come loose. Any one else have this problem? Any cures? Thanks.

OK...Follow up post: I've been looking at the pump/belt while motor is running and have discovered that the real problem is that the fan is wobbling and running out of round about 1/4". I think the problem is stemming from the fan clutch and the power steering pump pully is just a symptom of that. I replaced the fan clutch/bracket a while back and come to think of it, it hasn't been the same since. It never "powers down" after truck warms up (or cools down). It just whirrs at full rpm all the time. I am going to replace it, BUT..this is a very expensive part. The after market replacement has proven to be crap. So..I am thinking of switching to an electric fan and getting this component off my motor belt train altogether. Is this a good idea or would it be best to stick to the factory setup? Thanks.

I would stay factory if it were mine. I got a fan clutch for my 3RZ from oreillys and its been fine, knock on wood.....

Or you can get one from Toyota.

I have been in this situation myself, my problem was I didn't have the pully seated on the water pump correctly when I put on the fan clutch...maybe? mine didn't make any noise or the belt didn't slip off but I could see a wobbling until I corrected it and it was nice and true after that. Hope I'm some of help to you if not good luck buddy with your truck. but if you do decide to go to an electric fan like I did get yourself a black magic 674 S blade electric fan you can light your motor on fire and it still won't make it overheat with that thing it's freaking awesome lol again good luck \m/
