OK ,I have a 86 runner with a 92 engine.22RE ,I had to replace the wire harness under the dash and the one going from the ECU out to engine. The one that goes to fuel injectors .Got it all back together ,starts right up but wont idol .If I give it gas it will stay running ,till I let off the gas.Also engine light goes on and off.I checked all vacuum lines,they are all good and plugged back in .Any ideas.

 

 

did your swap include the diagnostic connector? You might want to see what codes its trying to spit out. You could try to up the idle screw a bit to see if you can keep it running and get a better idea of whats up. Double check all your connections and make sure you did not overlook anything. Timing off?
