parting out a v6 88 4runner

ive had 2 people want to buy that specific engine from me out of my wheel-less 4runner, and i was just wondering how much does that engine go for? especially since hardly anyone likes them ive noticed..

yea well see, it got stolen last summer, then police recovered it 2 months later, the engine has excellent compression, and its just sitting in the dirt right now without wheels, the rollbar is bent and the tailgate got smashed.

only thing missing on it right now are the distributor wires, aha but im hoping it still runs, this was a, *incase it still runs* question

You're not going to be able to get a whole lot out of the engine, unless it was recently rebuilt or something, I would say absolute tops $1500, probably closer to $800 - $1000, it all depends on if you are selling just the block, or everything from the oil pan to the air box, including accessories, but not that many people need all that either, if the block's got lots of miles and you selling just the block, then expect to get $300-$800, it all depends on your negotiating skills and how bad the other guy needs an engine

depending on the condition of certain things, like the top and the interior, you might wind up getting more out of the rest of the body

We paid a grand for a rebuilt 3.0 in everett, wa (from a parting out truck)
Paid 1500 for a running one from a 94
