open wire connecters..

open wire connecters.. have some on the passenger side and driver side only a few. does anyone know what these are Sposed to go to? first 3 are on the passenger side last 2 would be on the drivers side Its a 83 Pickup, thanks again

That green one in the first picture is the orriginal connector from the factory alternator, the one i mentioned in the last thread. Not sure about the others.

really.... I wonder If I should try and tapping into it? with this one. And one wire on that plug has been rerouted to supply power to the fuel pump witch is next to the fire wall gotta love how people wire old rigs

i would just try taking that black wire you jumped from the connector terminal to the hutlug and running it to the battery instead of the hot lug. Id be willing to bet that will solve your problem. Its not like its gona be able to find voltage from the back of the alternator when there is no voltage going into the front to make it produce output in the first place.

Rodger that. I guess I should ground the other side then If I do that? cause from what youve told me that since its not getting any amps from the battery its not sending enough amps to charge the battery, that why it would go dead but put out maybe enough amps to give it a small charge enough to run it correct? Ill try that,.

Yeah i would try just running the positive lead to the battery first, and see if that works, and if not then try grounding the other prong.
