Oil sensor thread counts and size??? HELP
Just got my 22r, back from local builder, I got the motor in, and started and Oil starting shooting out of the block, from a threaded hole to the left of the oil filter, pretty much drained my oil pan in about 3-5 seconds, I tried to block it off, its close to or is a 10mm, My question is what goes there, I know nothing came out of it before I took it apart, Did my builder tap into something more? What can I get to plug this hole, size and threads?? I found a picture of a block on here that shows the port Im needing to fill, any help would be greatly appreciated, Id ask my builder, but he passed away 2 days after I picked up the motor...

Where does your oil pressure sending unit go in .
Looking at the right side of the engine it is between the oil filter and the starter.
I think that is what you describe.
If you left your sending unit in and the block was going to be hot tanked it would have been destroyed so was removed.
If you have hooked up the oil pressure sending unit else where it is a simple matter to get a adapter to go into the block to go from the metric threads to 1/4" pipe thread and put a plug in.

It may be 1/8"x28 British Standard Pipe thread

It is close in size to 1/8" US pipe thread (27 TPI) and M10x1 (25 TPI), but not quite.
