Question odd item on ebay

i was surfing e-bay for 4runner mods the other day and came across a "chip" that claims to increase the gas mileage to 30+ and increase the horsepower by 100+ and i bought it for $22 with a 100% money back guarantee and was just now wondering if anyone has ever heard of something like this or if anyone has one? it should be here pretty soon so when i get to test it i will post some feedback. the sellers name is ds*speed*tuners if anyone is interested in checking this out. he has a store and it looked to me like he had some for almost any vehicle.

it will probably arrive tomorrow and it increases the horsepower as well as the gas mileage. plus it had a 100% money back guarantee so i haven't lost anything but about 10 minutes of my time.

I save gas by pressing lightly on the skinny pedal. Seems to work pretty good.

What year is your runner? I hate to say this, but there is no way in this universe to increase hp by 100 and increase mpg to 30+ on our trucks. Not a chance.

You probibly just bought a .25 cent resister.

You will have lost your money when the seller doesn't respond to your refund claim ... don't you think that if it truly increased hp and mileage that much that it would sell for a lot more. If it sounds too good to be true ...

i bought something like that, it worked, i felt a slight difference in torque, but it took my mileage down from like 20mpg to like 12. so i only use it when i go up hills, and i get slightly better speed uphill. not worth it, IMO

well, the guy is screwed if he skips. ebay is very strict about scamming and he still has more items on ebay. so if it is a scam ebay will take care of it and im only out 20 bucks anyways.

i just emailed the guy to get different instructions for installation because my vehicle is a "newer" vehicle that has a combination plug with multiple wires, but anyways the chip does increase gas mileage AND horsepower. gas mileage increases when driving normally and horsepower increases when it thinks you need it.

If this actually worked everybody on here and most of the free world would be using it and the ebay seller would be a billionaire.

C'mon,30+ mpg and 100hp?

as i said man, some of them do work, but not nearly as well as they claim. but the advantages of using one arent very good, so id say stay away from them. i wish i had.
