from o2 to rear coils

hello again....still a newbie and still going through some of the popular processes of elimination and need some more advice. I really appreciate the input.
1995 4runner SR5 4x4 auto 225k

1. o2 sensor or sensors? are there two..? I am only aware of one right past the cat... Im thinkin....ok, this will be an easy replacement...then i read a post claiming to have two? can someone help on this? ALSO, when is shop online for the sensor, I see ones for $15 and then see some for $125, am I missing something here? Can anyone recommend a brand name for this?

2. REAR COILS....I have the sag in the rear and want to fix it...most tell me jsut to replace with OE coils from TOyota and let them ride til they start saggin and then repeat..... Any comments on this one? I almost bought some inner coil air bags as I was told it would fix the sag and ride better, and then I w$as told it wouldnt fix it, ONLY adding to load capacity.. can anyone help on this topic?

one fix at a time....... thanks in advance

1. Since it's an auto, I assume it's a V6. Mine only has one, but CA models may have 2. Pretty easy to see though - slide under the truck and look for it/them sticking out the top of the exhaust pipe! Should also be on the tag under the hood if you can still read it. Definitely go with an NGK/NTK or Denso - Bosch ones don't seem to agree well with our rigs.

2. There are a wide variety of options from spacers to replacement coils to lift kits. Search around in the 86-95 folder for experiences from different people who have used each of the options. Personally, I went with the Eibach coils and they work great for me.

thanks TC... I will take a look and see what I can find.. yes, its a 3.0 3vz v6.

Did the Eibach fix the sag and put your truck back to level?
thanks again.

Yes, but I understand those springs are hard to find now ... performance products has some that are similar. Mine were rated at 1.5" lift and brought it SLIGHTLY above level.

any v6ers out there that can chime in on 02 sensor(s)?
I also wanted to ask about the slight hesistation at take off....When the truck is cold it doesnt do it nearly as bad....but when it heats up it gets worse... does this tell anyone anything? I have replaced everything except the engine itself just to let you know... Any ideas are appreciated!!

If you have a cali truck, there will be 2 o2's 1 just before the cat, and 1 just past the cat. Do you have any codes? If you get a code 27, that would either be a bad SUB-o2(after cat) or the cat itself. I have the same hesitation in my v6 and it is cali emissions, and I am hoping it is the sub o2(I get code 27, and I know the sensor is bad). Check for codes by jumping the e1 and te1 terminals in the diagnostic box under the hood....if it's not a code 27, then you have an issue with your main o2. Goodluck.

Thanks team420.....I will check em out! Does your hesitation get worse as the truck warms up? Been trying to isolate this problem for a while.. NO CODES as of yet... thanks again

Might be a little late, and I'm not sure if it's valid, but I have a cali 02 Taco and the local parts stores were more than happy to sell me 2 O2 sensors, however the Cali editions have 1 Air Fuel sensor and 1 O2 sensor, they are different and only toyota parts department seemed to know that right off the bat, however I've read that replacing an A/F sensor with an O2 sensor will make your ECU do funny things.

For what it's worth, on a an 02 taco with a 3.4 v6 from cali, the first sensor is on the down pipe before the first cat, the second is after the cat. and the 2 sensors look the same so take your VIN to a toy dealership and ask them.
