1979 yota 2wd auto truck, no power to fuel pump, replaced fuel relay with napa brand, when in starter mode i get some voltage, straight wire power to wire and pump runs and truck cranks, any idea? i hate to run power to it off ingt switch. i also replaced fuel pump, other was bad and would not run off jumper wire.

Just to confirm, this is an electric fuel pump from a 1979 truck?

You must have modified the mechanical fuel pump to an electric, yes?

OK, I just wanted to make sure. I have not heard of a 70's Toyota have electric pumps.

Since your vehicle has an electric fuel pump, I won't be able to help you.
