Newbie needs solid axle info

Newbie needs solid axle info
hey guys
i got me an 88 toyota 4x4, gettin tired of the ifs so im planning on doin a solid axle swap....my question is...is there a good year of axle i should use...or will pretty much any toyota axle do? i plan on using it both on and off road, if that helps any...and any advise, tips, pointers would be much appreciated.
And hell, if you got an axle in the so. cali area, i'd be happy to pay ya for it.
