NEWBIE needs a shock

NEWBIE needs a shock

The original 20 year old shocks are due to be replaced on my '90 4wd Xcab pickup. Does anyone have a recommendation for a certain brand (not looking for stiff ones...prefer comfort first) and also the best place to buy a set?

Well, if you like me...and most military members...we're broke, and if your looking for a cheap set that work...eh ok I guess, I would say go to auto parts store (oreillys, autozone, etc) and get those $20 ones, I did and they were ok, as long as your only really doing on-road driving.

x2. monroe has a wide variety when it comes to cost and comfort. Gas-Matic are of course the cheapest, not the best ride, Sensatrac is a popular replacement, middle of the road price, and pretty comfortable, and Rancho, which is more of a heavy duty line designed for suv and light truck use, a little more expensive, and a stiff ride. i run ranchos, and am very happy. if you go to any parts house, just tell them you need the cheapest shock.
