New to this forum, not so new to Toyotas..
Nice site.
Lets see, the first manual trans automobile I learned on was a 88 22r 2wd, plain jane, red no nothing toyota truck...Best truck I ever had, drove it for 10 years before the frame broke and sold it... Had another 4 since then, on and off... an 87 2wd that was pretty radical, 22R block, 20r head, twin side draft mikuni carbs.... She ran out real well, but alas... That one was sold too, I probably have a polaroid floating around of that one... (this was all early 1990's)
Late 90's I got a 91 extended cab, 3.0 liter black one, didnt wheel it at all, but it got me through some snow here and there... Boom.. gone..sold...
Then I got a 93. 22re, 5 speed... a great truck,

that I just sold that one to a good buddy to put money into this one...

Obviously an automatic, has a pretty good oil leak... the ol v6 is in this one as well..
After owning three toyota trucks with 22r 4 bangors, I have to admit, that I almost prefer the 22rs vs the ol 6's... Man, the 6, just dont seem to have the oomph... then again, they may of been tired..
I was debating on what to do with this one..
I have a spare lt1 sitting in my garage from another project, thought about doing a swap into this one..
Then again, this 6, underpowered as it is, still runs fairly well..
Anyway, thought Id introduce myself and say hello..
Great site from what Ive been reading.

keep that LT1 in the garage untill your 3.0 grenades, cause it will one day, there is an old saying "If it aint broke, Dont fix it," this would also give you some time to save some money to supply that LT1 swap, you would probably need another transmission, etc.
BTW nice looking truck, welcome to yotatech.
P.S. Where did you get that lightbar from, it looks pretty good!

I think you should just take video of yourself blowing up the V6, I'm curious how long it would last revving to its max. Then, push it into the garage and swap that LT1 in ;-). This video is kinda odd, and seems to have been made by a couple drunks, but you get the idea of what to do ;D

A buddy is selling his Tundra, beautiful low mileage v8 full size..
Im torn, I love this truck but size wise, I think it would be easier to fit the kids in the Tundra..
So torn.
I should get this thing appraised, I bet I could get decent cash out of this one
She has a new timing set, all new seals, new waterpump, new distributor, plugs, oil change...
What do you guys think this truck is worth, its got right around 158k on it, but there are a ton of new parts..
Man.. If I didnt have so many toys, Id keep this and get the other one, but Im afraid she is going to have to go to a new owner, if I buy this other truck.

Some stats might help in pricing your truck. Did you or the previous owner regear for those big tires, that may be why the V6 is such a dog on your truck. With kids, yes I would buy the Tundra and Welcome to Yotatech.
