need and want gearsb but

i don't know what brand to get. i'm thinking of getting precision gears and i'm thinking of getting 4.88 or 4.56. i'm not sure what i want because my truck is a daily driver, but i do some hauling every so often. lots of highway driving is done tho. i run 31x10.50xr15 hankook rt03, but as soon as my tires wear out i'm going to run with 32s. i have the with 22re 88 4runner. i believe i have 4.10 gears. i've searched but i want more info.
thanks ahead of time

i run 32s on 4.10s and its fine... if you do regear just get them from a reputably source IE marlin or inworm zuk trial gear..id save the money for something else unless you need gearing.. or a buy a set of junkyard 3rds in 4.30,4.56 or 4.88

I'd go 4.88s, leaves you room to upgrade to bigger than 32s later.

I'm running 4.56s with 31s on my 4Runner now (22RE/5spd) and its perfect. But when I throw on my 32s or my 34s....man do I wish I had 4.88s.

Junkyard 3rds FTW, I got my 4.56s for the junkyard, still trying to hunt down a 4.88 4Runner with the rears still underneath it

32's don't really need a gear change from 4.10's, upgrade to 4.88 if you go bigger that 33's though, and 5.29's if you decide to go up to 35's.

good thing about junkyard 3rds is they are FACTORY TOYOTA SETUP and gears...only thing better would be a set from ZUK with his special "cryo treatments" but factory is always better especially when your dealin with toyota for junkyard prices!
unless you go 529 which was never offered!

something to consider with the factory 4.88s found at junkyard is that you can't upgrade to 5.29 later on in the future if you want to. Another thing is that Aussie doesn't make a locker that will fit it; not a huge deal though, since you can always get a lock right.

the reason that i want gears is thatwhen i haul our small boat, it struggles ALOT. when i had the 30s on there, it would move the boat decent and the engine would not be as high on RPMs. 32s is the best size i've seen on a stock height 4runner. i will maybe do a lift that requires 33s, but that is nowhere soon from now.

finding some in the junkyard would be ideal, but in my area, toyotas are torn up by the 1st day the hit the yard.
