Need help with W56 snap rings. Rookie mistake.

So in all my zeal and anxiety to open up my transmission to check the gear condition, I overlooked a very crucial step. Taking detailed pictures. I am specifically having problems with some snap/lock rings. I have a total of seven as I didn't take the whole thing apart. We were able to figure out where 3 went but the other 4 (which are located on the output and idler shaft) are a pain in the ass. We put them on as best as we could going by size, eyeballing and the manual, but I don't feel entirely comfortable with some of them. We tried going by the stamped numbers but that didn't solve all the problems as some were blank or blatantly wrong. They seem to be really tight and/or fitting not completely flush. My question is is this a huge deal? I mean, they fit, but some seem a little too open even after closing them. Some seem very very tight in the groove. And others just look iffy. I am pretty positive that we got the 3 on the input side right as they are very distinct. But the four leftovers are scaring me. Once this issue is resolved I can get the rest together easily (knock on wood) but these rings are, as always, a bitch. Can anyone give me advice, pictures, or wise words??
