Need help with vibrations and poor performance

Ok I have a 2001 4runner sport 2wd (5VZ-FE) the check engine light, VSC TRAC, and TRAC OFF light came on a little while back and the fuel milage, acceleration, and power have really dropped off. I have not really done anything to try and fix it yet due to money being tight and too many opinions on what is causing it. I bought new plugs and wires and a new fuel filter and will be putting them on this weekend i hope. Now a new problem has come up, on the highway mainly at 60mph and higher it has developed a very stong vibration(strong enough that i cant tell what kind of car is in the rear view mirror) but I only get the vibration when on the gas. It goes away when coasting or stopping. The vibration has a fairly loud and low pitched rumble to go with it.
Has anyone had this problem before? Is it connected to the check engine lights and poor gas milage and sluggish response?
This new vibration really hasus worried,if anyone has any knowledge or imput on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Get the codes pulled. Autozone will do it for free. There is usually a reason the CEL goes off....

kind of sounds like a wheel bearing or a bent axle. Does it only make noise at 60 or is it just loudest then?

steve89... its not really noticable until around 60mph and its the worst around 70. I had thoughts about a wheel bearing or bent axle or even a driveshaft problem, but wouldnt it vibrate or make noise all the time or at least before 60 to 70mph? Like I said its only when on the gas if I lift out of the gas and coast it goes away completly.
