need help 22re

got an 86 toyota pickup with a 22re. was running fine and i tried to check timing. i jumped what i thought was the check connector and now it wont start just turns over. can anyone please help and also tell me were the check connector is and the diagnostic connector thanks

Check your engine fuses and fuse box fuses.

Try searching a bit. Tons of info on testing ports.

got it figured out the efi fuse was blown. but when i try to jump the pins to get my base timing it wont idle down?

i was just reseaching this, and i think that the timing wont change unless your jumping the terminal while the engine is cold. Could be wrong about that, but thats kind of what i gathered.

Sounds plausible...^^^ That defeats the High Altitude Compensator... IIRC.
