Early intake air boot on late 22RE?

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can verify the fit of the early (84-88) style intake air boot on a late (89+) 22re? The part I am referring to is the rubber boot that goes between the plastic intake pipe and the throttle body.

Based on several reviews on this Amazon product it looks like the older style part would fit: Dorman 696-707 Air Intake Hose for Toyota https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001C6JCBE..._ruI0vb4JAR5V6

I am trying to avoid purchasing the $100 OE part for the later 22re. This particular truck is just my work truck and I'd like to keep costs as low as possible while still accomplishing a proper fix.

Or maybe there is another common repair method or aftermarket part for the later trucks that I am unaware of? Thanks non advance!

It is not the same but with some sections of pipe you might be able to make it work .

Anything that makes a solid connection with no leaks and that will not collapse under the suction of the engine will work.

I would check the boneyard for something like that. I am not sure about the older and newer swapping with each other.
